Getting Started
Begin by filling out the contact form with details about what you're envisioning. I'll respond within 5-7 business days to schedule a consultation. From there, we'll discuss your ideas, timeline, and next steps.
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of $200-500 (depending on project scope) is required to secure your booking. This goes toward your final session cost.
I typically book 3-6 months ahead. For larger projects or specific dates, reach out as early as possible.
The Process
Every piece begins with consultation, either in person or via video call. We discuss meaning, symbolism, placement, and aesthetic direction. I don't send designs ahead of time; they're revealed on session day to preserve spontaneity and presence.
I work collaboratively, not from pre-made designs. If you have reference images or concepts, I'll integrate them into a custom piece that reflects both your vision and my artistic approach.
Sessions range from 3-6 hours depending on the piece. Larger projects are broken into multiple sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart for optimal healing.
Pricing & Payment
My day rate is $1750. Other online and in-person consulting starts at $350/hr.
Cash, bank transfer, or card. Final payment is due at the end of each session.
Practical Details
I work from Jade Cicada Studio, a private space in Brisbane, Australia. Exact address provided upon booking.
Selectively. Cover-ups require additional consultation to assess feasibility. Not all pieces can be effectively covered. Sometimes laser removal or incorporation is a better path.
I provide detailed aftercare instructions and a healing kit with each session. I'm also available for questions during the healing process.
Only for heavily tattooed clients or those with clear understanding of social/professional implications. This is discussed case-by-case.
Who This Is For
Maybe. If you're drawn to intentional, symbolic work and willing to invest time in the process, yes. If you're looking for something quick or purely aesthetic, there may be better fits.
Absolutely. Many clients come to tie together scattered work or create cohesive large-scale pieces. We'll find the through-line.
That's actually ideal. The best work emerges from deep consultation. Come with feelings, themes, and questions, and we'll shape them into something visual together.
