Therapeutic tattoo recount – Ninaveh

I wanted to collaborate with an artist who understands the importance of the intention in each action, pouring their creative energy into every dot and line, while holding the space for a spiritual and ritualistic tattoo session for my first piece.

After Mark and I spoke about the intention of the piece, he created a beautiful interpretation of the Assyrian Sacred tree of life, fused with the geometric tree and flower of life (the later I forgot to mention to him that I wanted, but he intuitively included it anyway!) we cleared the space and ourselves energetically, and each had our crystals to assist in our journey (plus some great music). To my surprise I felt no pain, and fell into a deep, meditative space. Not only was my need of a tattoo with spiritual intention met, but I feel that Mark was able to gain further insight into sacred geometry from the process, making it a lovely and balanced energy exchange.

I have experienced a deeper sense of comfort and acceptance of myself in my skin, and a continuous reminder of the intention. I tend to “feel” the tattoo when I am unbalanced, as if it is reminding me to get grounded. It is a beautiful piece of art which generates awe and interest in all who see it.
